I was a singer/entertainer until 1986, including writing music, doing some concerts/recording, acting. In 1986 I got sober (now 34 years clean & sober) & began a new life involving recovery, getting my BA in communications-film; faith based recovery mentoring/coaching. 2001 on, ministry in healing, worship, recovery.
Noel, my husband, is a retired Chief Engineer-Shipping industry & co-minister in recovery/healing/teaching-volunteering in Whole Heart Living. We also are co-designers in home construction, landscaping. We have a vintage motorhome, love to play table tennis and are aunt & uncle to lots of kids as well as adopted parents-grandparents of many we love. Our focus is to speak life and share in joy and rest what is left of this marvelous adventure we call life.

I am sad to hear this news as Janel was one of my best friends while in Highschool at Highline. She, and Wayne, lived up the street from us, next block. I spent a lot of time at their house. We all had a great time. I love the picture with who I assume are her grandchildren. A beautiful looking bunch.

Janel and I lost track of one another years ago and I am sad we didn't get to reunite. We would have had a lot of tales to tell.

Hi Karla, your birthday is coming up, so Happy Birthday! Your life sound rich and full, so glad for closeness to your children and grandchildren. Lovely that you have a son in Denmark whose life is full of success and glad that being in DC allows you to more easy access to traveling there. Your life relects how great these years can be.
