Terri Doreen (Blue) Hildenbrand entered eternal life on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023.  Terri was born December 3rd, 1947 in Seattle, Washington.  She grew up in Seahurst and attended Highline High School.  Terri worked in the hospitality industry and tended bar at numerous establishments across Seattle.  People loved her sassy attitude, she was always up for fun and had a strong sense of humor.  Terri was larger than life, her trademark long nails and bold red hair will never be forgotten.  She lived fully and with gusto, never letting much pass her by.

Terri is survived by her loving husband, Paul Shallow, her daughter Lenee Hildenbrand, her sister Waynne James, her nieces Darbi James (George) and Erin Guanio (David, Madeline, and Andrew), her fur baby Sydney, and an extended family of relations, in-laws and friends, that will carry on her memory in spirit.

A celebration of life to honor Terri will be hosted at a later date.

We grew up in an neighborhood loaded with future Pirates, and many of us remained friends for life. Terri was one on these. She was a very intelligent, free spirit, with a great joy for life. I would see her periodically the past few years, and she still had the love for flamboyance, bright color everywhere. Pretty fun.

There are many stories , but those have been archived. All of us who knew her can draw on one, and smile. Terri was always a good friend, who will be missed.

I always thought she was the one Mitch Ryder wrote "Devil with the Blue Dress" about. She wore it well.

When I learnd Terri was ill, with short time to be with us , it broke my heart. She didn't complain and and was always worried about everyone else. I am going to truly miss her. It was a privilege knowing her. I know she made my life better by knowing her. Thoughts and prayers with Paul and her daughter.

My first HS girlfriend, DIdn't last long, but that seemed to happen a lot back in those days.  We didn't go to the same elementary or junior high schools, but Terri acted like we had known each other for a long time.  Quick wit and she made me laugh.  After graduation only got to see her and talk at reunions, until Facebook.  WIll remember one of her last comments, "Living the Good Life".  A new journey for my friend.

Terri was a giving, caring person.  She was continually offering help, encouragement and love to those in need.  I gave Terri words of support and love during her illness.  She would always write back words of care and encouragement.  Terri is going to be  missed by friends and family. She was one of a kind.
