Bob Dimmitt

Bob Dimmit 7/15/47-11/15/24

Bob spent four years in the Navy and became a barber shortly after. He then trained to be an auto-body worker and opened his own shop in Everett having become quite proficient. He then moved to Spokane and worked in the trade. He eventually moved to Ephrata where he opened another shop, moved to Othello with another shop but moved back to Ephrata to his former shop from where he retired.  There he was elected and served a term as mayor.  He had two sons with his first wife and is survived by them and his wife Loretta.

I'm so sorry to see that Bob is gone......it seems to be so sudden. He was one of my favorite Facebook friends. In all the years of Highline, Bob would always be in several of my classes, and I am glad that he was so happy to be living in Eastern Wa. Bob added something special to our lives just by knowing him. RIP Bob

A good friend since the 7th grade. We had some great times growing up. Bob persuaded me in joining the Navy and even showed up for my swearing in. Rest  in peace Bob.

I met Bob when I was five years old. He lived next door. His older brother married my sister (they went to four proms). We buddied along with two others over the years until the end of high school. That summer we went to Canada and on the way back we were cruising at 80 mph in my '62 Chevy Impala 409 (no eighteen year old should own a 409) north of Everett when a '53 studebaker went by us held together with bobby pins and chewing gum. I looked at Bob and he looked back and pointed down the highway. Well, we blew by him at 118 mph. I vowed never to do that again. In other words - Bob and I had great times together; we kept in contact all these years (I would stop and see him in Ephrata when going to eastern Washington) and I am quite sad to see his passing.

So sorry to hear about Bob's passing. We lived within a block growing up. Rest easy my friend and Navy shipmate.
