Bert Warnock was born April 7, 1948 in Seattle, Washington, the son of the late Bert Warnock Sr. and Katharine (Gatter) Warnock. He joined his two sisters, Karen and Christine and a brother David and one more sister later, Lisa. He leaves behind his three sisters. Bert lived an exceptional life from chauffeuring generals in the army during the Viet Nam era to crewing on a sailing ship to Hawaii. He moved to Gales Creek, Or. in 1976, where he met his wife Janice Oberg and married October 12, 1977. They had two children, Jason Warnock, now lifting in Tokyo, Japan and Alexandria Warnock of Hillsboro, Or. After marrying his wife Janice, he did farming part time and sold fruits, vegetables, and flowers at the Portland Saturday Market. During the week he worked for Consolidated Supply and in later years he worked at George Morlan in the sales department. He was a great conversationalist and salesman and made friends wherever he went. Bert helped Janice establish a Tennessee Walking Horse breeding facility and they would raise up to 16 foals a year. In 2018, Bert and Janice retired, establishing their new home in Lincoln City, Or. They spent their days walking on the beach, caring for the yard, going to antique stores, and enjoying their time together.
