In Memory

Sandy Scott

Sandy Scott

Sandy Scott passed away March. 21, 2020 due to dementia. He was married to his high school love, Pamm DeLappe Scott (Class of 1967), for 52 years. They were blessed with two children and two grandchildren. He loved people and one of his favorite things to do after retirement was being the "Popcorn Man" at his grandson's grade school. His grandson, Anthony, was most special to him. He was blessed to have a good life spending time with his family, traveling and loving life. He is so greatly missed. A celebration of life is hoping to be in September.

I liked Sandy very much and enjoyed working on stage crew with him. He was always a gentle giant and a gentleman full of sly humor and a wonderful smile.  My deepest condolences to his family. Dr. Pamela Parkinson

We briefly met one summer afternoon.  During that time, we became friends instantly if only for this short time; laughing together in that swimming pool, throwing water and chasing each other like the youngsters we were. Then, we were comparing our music devices. I talked so fast and so much your attention was diverted to someone else's conversation.  I was embarrassed but learned to slow down my stream of thoughts for better effect from that day on. Why I remembered this I don't know, but it is a good memory.

You lived a good life. For and from Family. They hold you dear now, as in life.  You will rest in Peace friend.

Sandy and I go back to our early childhood days.  It always hits me hard when those I grew up with get posted on our memorial webpage.  I loved the part of Sandy being Popcorn Man at a school.  He might have been a big kid when we were growing up, but his heart was bigger.  He was a great guy and I can only pray his family is at peace now, along with Sandy.  Watched famiy members pass over due to these diseases that strip their memories, which truly hurts .  My prayers are for those left behind; sending love that would reflect Sandy's feelings towards them.

Sandy thanks for being a childhood friend and such a great man. R.I.P.

Sandy lived just a hop thru the woods to the north of me. I liked him, thought of him often and was hoping to see him at  the last reunion. I'm sorry to hear he is gone. He was a genuinly sweet natured person.
