All memorial announcements are met with a sadness of heart and bring forth fond memories, but this notice of Charlie's passing hits me hard.  Charlie was my "Big Buddy" through our Sylvester Jr High and HHS days.  So many wonderful, laugh filled memories of Charlie.   Like tackle football games on Sylvester's muddy field on Saturdays, marching in the infamous Boys Club marching band together and just hanging out with the big guy.  For years I tried to reconnect with him, just never came about.  May my belated good-bye and shared memories bring honor to memory of my good friend. 😞

Charlie was a great friend to many people.  He was chosen friendliest guy from our class.  Of course, as Rob mentioned, he was a great member of, the ever popular, Boy Club Marching Band.  Charlie, several times, gave me a ride home on his Honda 150.  The sight of about 500 pounds of humanity on that 150 must have turned a few heads as we chugged up 152nd. I was saddened and a bit shocked to find Charlie had died.  I thought of him, often, over the years.

There was a reason Charlie was voted most friendliest for our class, great memories of playing poker at Charlie's, Dick Morrison, Dennis Nemeth, Pete Poffenberger, Al Parker and I think Doug Whidden used to play too, rest in peace.
