We've received word that Chris (Emil) Coffey died last week, so approximately June 10th, 2021.  In lieu of a more formal obituary, here's a few words from her daughter Erin Coffey's Facebook page:

"Thank you for your condolences. I'm still trying to absorb the loss of my mom, and adjust to life without her. She was all that is good and light in the world. Her heart knew no bounds. She loved beyond measure, and never met a stranger who she couldn't charm. She proudly spent 38 years as an elementary school speech language pathologist, a career she never planned on, but loved. She met my dad [Patrick W Coffey] in 1965 and was married to him [in 1969] until his passing in 2012.

"Many of you know that mom battled Multiple Sclerosis for over 50 years, and never let it bring her down or hold her back. She had a quiet strength that many mistook for her being submissive to Dad's more dominant personality, a perception that couldn't be more inaccurate. Mom gave me roots, but let me have my wings, and I will miss her sweet voice calling me Ange."

So sorry for your, and really all our loss. I remember your Mother well. She was a kind and self-confident colleague in High School. It is no wonder she was the good mother and positive influence she became for you.
